We were responsible for the complete structural design and construction planning of the project, which includes more than 400 apartments in Pécs. The design included a total of 13 residential blocks of 6-8 storeys and a parking area of approximately 8000 m2. Already at the beginning of the design phase, many questions were raised as to the design of the supporting structure (precast reinforced concrete, monolithic reinforced concrete, frame/non-frame). In the end, the entire project was designed in monolithic reinforced concrete, which proved to be a good choice as the project progressed and the needs of the different trades emerged. The size of the task was apparent at the beginning of the design task, but we really felt it in the design preparation phase, where we had to prepare many 10 square metres of design material.
